Making Monsters

Brief:
I've given myself the brief to create an entire typeface of fun and friendly, illustrated monster characters that I can then print, and make an alphabet book from, by hand. 

Concept:
I'm a fan of anything with illustrated monsters so I thought this would be a fun project to work on over the summer. Each letter can be different, but illustrated in the same style throughout the book.

Solution:
I'm creating a letter a day as a warm up exercise, looking forward to updating you soon!

Artists Envy/ 'Modern Classic' Zine by LMNOP Creative

Brand: Morgan's Hotel Group


Brief:
LMNOP Creative designed 'The Modern Classic' zine for the international, Morgan's Hotel Group to celebrate their campaign for 20 years in business. 

Concept:
Morgan's Hotel Group have a consistent style throughout their global hotels as being very modern, contemporary and colourful. 

Solution:
LMNOP created this print piece that would advertise both the hotel group, and general travel and lifestyle articles to attract a new and younger audience. This piece is the perfect inspirational piece for younger designers too, showcasing fun illustration, well considered type and pantone print colour.

Fur Me To You: Branding Project




Brief:
Design the branding for a start-up company, Fur Me To You. I needed to create a responsive logo, business cards and aftersales cards for the new fashion brand.

Concept:

Their colour palette was to stay completely black, grey and white, with a stylish and modern feel to them. I designed the aftersales cards to change in colour depending on which collection the customer purchases from.

Solution:

The name Fur Me To You from derived from the brand selling fur sliders, with a play on the term, 'from me to you.' This lead me to using a script font for the second portion of the phrase to give that handwritten and personal feel. The brand's name is often shortened to FMTY online, I used this to create a second logo, used in a smaller scale with just the initials in the same format.

Artist Envy/ 'Daunting World' by FCB Inferno

Brand: Project Literacy

Brief:
With almost one billion adults worldwide being unable to read or write, life can be a scary place. 

Concept:
FCB Inferno teamed up with Pearson to create this, 'Daunting World' Series to illustrate the terrifying difficulties that a person, unable to read, has.

Solution:
This series of effective and thought-provoking posters were made, full of life and colour but with a very serious message behind it.
