Messy Experimental Painting
Brief:
Fine art workshop/ Mixing painting with collage with a given image
Concept:
I wanted to experiment with how far I could push loose brush strokes in a portrait with it still looking like a good portrait, I kept some parts of the original image showing through and more refined areas on the eyes and lips for detail.
Solution:
It kept quite messy but I've always been happy with how the solution looked.

Poster-in-a-Day Project/ Type
Brief:
Create a type-only poster in one day using a given paragraph of text by the university.
Concept:
Combining hand-drawn lettering and handmade textures with a digital/glitch style typeface and colourway.
Solution:
Hand-drawn lettering features in 'I can just about make it out' since the lack of clarity worked quite well here, combined with 'Munro Small' typeface.
